Today I would like to present you few additional exercices I usually do to work on my balance. I’ve been using a wobble board recently. The way of practicing your balance is actually really simple- you need time and patience. It only depends on you and your motivation whether you get better or not. Just stand in a position you want to practice balance at and keep it as long as you can. Find in your body which muscles are more usefull or completely useless in getting the right balance in wanted pose. It is a personal matter what helps us to stand as long as possible.
To stabilize myself, my pelvis and back, I often workout with two legs on the board in small plie. I reach out one leg in each direction and then I change the working leg. This one I do in paralel position. Later on, I raise the bar higher and I do fondu on it for example or rond de jambe en l’air. The hardest option is to get your balance on halfpoint or even points. The latter I recently tried and I keep on working on it!
The first exercice I usually do. Both leg paralel on the board, reach out one leg in wanted direction and hold for few seconds, get back and reach to the other direction. Repeat several times and change the working leg. Remain in small plie.
Battement fondu is quite slow and sof exercice- for your balance it is a perfect workout!
And my favourite- a figth with myself and my weaknesses. This fight you can obviously see on my face! Such a focus 🙂
Standing en pointe on wobble board is an extremely hard workout! The simplest lack of attention may cause really serious injury, such as twisted ankle! For this, your ankles and feet in general must be as strong as stone! Do not do that if you don’t feel ready for it.
Always do that under adult surveillence!
MIŁEGO WIECZORU!
HAVE A NICE EVENING!
